MediaEraser

MediaEraser application is a software designed for erasing information from various digital media storage devices.

Its functionality allows for easy and definite way of erasing all data saved on the hard drive or pen drive.
This functionality is based on worldwide standards of overwriting saved data. The user can choose from a handful of algorithms used to overwrite the whole drive area multiple times with selected characters.
The US Department of Defense recommends overwriting the data three times using the DoD 5220.22-M algorithm. In the Mediaeraser application apart from the algorithm recommended by the US DoD there are several others which allow to overwrite the media even eight times.
Main features:
-Definite and irreversible data erasure ‘bit by bit’ from physical drives as well as partitions
-Wiping the slack space where there can be stored some unwanted fragments of data after deleting files
-Definite and irreversible erasure of files and folders saved on hard drives, Flash memory, disks, etc.
